I remember ages ago when I met Katie for the first time. We met at a tea shop (that had bubble tea, my fav) and I remember thinking “I could just hang out with Katie all day”. We had so much to talk about. Andy is studying engineering at Georgia Tech (where I studied electrical engineering back before photography consumed me), and they were both planning on moving to Atlanta. I love Atlanta, and did live there most of my life.
The wedding day was so perfect. Katie looked stunning and was glowing. I remember when she saw herself in her dress with her make-up and hair for the first time in the mirror, she very quietly mumbled to herself “wow, I look beautiful” and she smiled. It had me tearing up, a feeling and a thought that I have always hoped every bride has when they see themselves for the first time. When Andy saw her for the first time, he cried, then she cried, then family members cried, it was a beautiful happy mess.
Katie and I had run around her venue a few days before the wedding and Katie found a tree that had a bright red heart painted on it. We decided that was the perfect place to do the pictures of her and Andy following the ceremony. So right after the ceremony we ran around the woods and got some of my favorite pictures ever. Anyone that knows me knows that I just love running around the woods. It was a perfect day and a perfect wedding.
I look forward to hanging out with you two in Atlanta!
